The Firefighter's Boot When you see a fireman standing with a fireman's boot in his hand wanting donations, this is the Boot Drive. The money collected is often used for supporting their Volunteer Fire Department's operations or are frequently donated to charitable causes. Funds collected through these donations will be placed in the General Fire Fighters Fund and will be used for the procurement of emergency needed supplies, such as chain saw blades, tires, transmission fluid, generators, repair and many other needs that aren't generally realized in the moments immediately following the start of a community emergency. You can also donate to a specific department as well. These funds will be in direct support of your chosen departments, with funds given directly to your requested departments. DSV will closely coordinate with the Chiefs of our local community Volunteer Fire Departments and your contribution will be greatly appreciated and will have a dramatic positive impact for our local support agencies.
